NEXCOM to Unveil "Embodied AI Robots - Safe by Design" at NVIDIA GTC 2026

NEXCOM is thrilled to announce its participation in NVIDIA GTC, the global epicenter of AI industry, taking place from March 16th to 19th in San Jose, California, USA.

Under the theme of "Embodied AI Robots - Safe by Design," NEXCOM Group and its subsidiary, NEXCOM Robotic Solutions (NexCOBOT Co. Ltd.), will showcase groundbreaking innovations in AI-powered robot controllers and safety control solutions, highlighting the seamless integration of advanced AI intelligence and essential human safety.

Features Three AI-enabled Robotic Solutions: Safety-Enhanced Robot, Robot AI Simulation, and AI Cybersecurity

Safety-Enhanced Robot Controller Built on NVIDIA Jetson Thor

Beyond smooth motion control, safety in humanoid robots becomes more crucial than ever as their adoption transits from factories into our daily lives. Powered by NVIDIA IGX T5000 module, the NEXCOM Robotic Solutions RCB400 T20-05 all-in-one controller depicts a safety AI detection scenario, integrating AI inference, motion control, and functional safety by leveraging NexRTOS (for real-time robot movement) and NexECM (for EtherCAT motion control) to effortlessly balance intensive AI processing with smooth and agile robot movement.

The demonstration showcases “Safe Detection” by fusing data from RealSense 3D camera and safety LiDAR to identify dynamic obstacles as human in real-time. It utilizes the NEXCOM Robotic Solutions EBK 210 Safety MCU expansion board to activate the native functional safety features of NVIDIA IGX T5000. This configuration allows Synapticon POSITRON Safety AI software to run directly on the controller powered by NVIDIA IGX Thor, enabling reliable detection and preventive multi-axis safe motion to avoid human injury. The hardware-software synergy ensures a safe and trusted human-robot collaboration environment through the control of safety-certified joints via multi-master EtherCAT protocol.

AI-Powered Robot Control Built on NVIDIA Jetson Thor with NVIDIA Isaac Sim for Digital Twin

The solution features seamless integration between the virtual and physical worlds using NVIDIA Isaac Sim to deliver an AI-driven robotic pick-and-place simulation. Controlled by the NEXCOM Robotic Solutions MARS400 T10-05 robotic controller powered by NVIDIA Jetson T5000, and supported by the AS-531AW-TC server for visual data consolidation, the demonstration shows how NVIDIA Isaac Sim can be utilized to simulate an AI-based bin-picking application through a high-fidelity digital twin robot model in a virtual environment. Users can easily handle robot modeling, testing, and system validation for robot and motion optimization, significantly reducing developing time and cost. This offering provides developers with an intuitive tool to accelerate deployment cycles and enhance precision of embodied AI in real-world commissioning.

Shield AI Robots Against Hijacking

NEXCOM eSAF Guardian is a cybersecurity agent embedded to safeguard robotic controllers. Developed for RTOS and Linux environments, it offers a robust layer of defense at the core of robots. By monitoring running programs, file access, and network connections in real time, eSAF Guardian can detect and block unauthorized actions at a low system level, effectively mitigating threats from malware. It helps ensure operational resilience and provides compliance with the ISA/IEC 62443 international security standards.

Embodied AI Robots - Safe by Design

With NEXCOM’s comprehensive AI-enabled robotic solutions, the challenge of bridging real-time motion control and functional safety is confidently overcome, further empowering clients to streamline development for specific safety scenarios and expedite time-to-market for their robots. As a key partner for industrial and humanoid robot builders, NEXCOM helps robotics companies enter the real world with prompt deployment across versatile applications that are both safety-ensured, and well-secured against cyber threats.
