NEXCOM Helps SME Retailers Unify Security Surveillance and Transaction

NEXCOM has expanded its security surveillance portfolios with the Tower NVR NViS 5240. Based on Intel^® Atom™ dual core processor D2700, the 16-channel NViS 5240 supports dual local displays, more than 8TB storage capacity, and wireless connectivity. It is specially tailored for small and medium size surveillance projects within the retail industry.

NViS 5240 featuring an Intel^® Atom™ dual core processor D2700 at 2.13GHz, supports surveillance recording and video playback. Using GbE LAN, the entry-level security surveillance platform can coordinate videos captured from up to sixteen high megapixel IP cameras and store more than 8TB video footage on four separate HDDs. Storage capacity can also be expanded via an eSATA interface.

NViS 5240 also enables application integration. Based on Windows Embedded operating system, the platform allows VMS, ERP, POS, CRM, SCM and more to simultaneously run on two local displays. For small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, nothing is better than a single solution which can address a broad range of applications for abnormal transaction, auditing, store security etc. in different business environments.

If occasion arises for ad hoc review, NViS 5240 can be configured for Wi-Fi/3G connectivity whereby surveillance videos can be efficiently exchanged over the network. In addition, the security surveillance platform comes in compact size and has a front panel made of steel/acrylic with color selection which ca be tailored to your exact requirements.

To help clients get immediate grasp of the NViS's capabilities, NEXCOM is rolling out NViS Evaluation Kit program. Under this program, NViS 5240 is pre-installed with 4G SATA DOM, 2G memory, Windows Embedded Standard 7, VMS solution from Genius Vision Digital Inc, along with one 2-megapixel IP camera and one RJ 45 cable.
