NEXCOM to Showcase a Full Range of AI Edge Computing Mobility Solutions, Featuring NVIDIA Jetson Platform with Super Mode, at GTC Paris, June 11-12
NEXCOM International (8234), a global provider of edge AI computing and intelligent automation solutions, is excited to announce its participation at the NVIDIA GTC Paris, June 11-12. At the event, NEXCOM will showcase its innovative AI-driven solutions, including its Advanced Telematics Computer (ATC) for Mobile Edge AI computing, highlighting Super Mode readiness for NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Production Modules.
Demonstrating the practical application of these powerful ATC product solutions, NEXCOM will conduct a live demonstration showcasing the 'Person detection for industrial vehicles' AI application from its partner, EYYES GmbH. This demo will illustrate how easy configuration software, combined with advanced perception capabilities running on NEXCOM's ATC series, can rapidly enable a wide range of ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) solutions.
The demonstration will feature the EYYES Perception Software. This advanced software, which is designed to run on NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 8GB module with 4x PoE capabilities, enables to implement in a very fast and simple way of ADAS solutions for various vehicles, like construction vehicles, industrial vehicles, and light rail vehicles such as trams.
Key aspects of the live demonstrator will include:
Real-time detection and classification of objects from a source video presented on a tablet-PC.
The perception result displayed on an extra “result monitor,” including overlays for warning signals and defined detection zones, highlighting the difference in available decision strategies of the EYYES Perception Software.
A demonstration of the “easy configuration” software interface, showcasing its user-friendliness and flexibility.
Key aspects of the live demonstrator will include:
Recording of the camera image using a digital camera.
Processing of the image data using the EYYES Perception software, which leverages several neural networks to detect people in a fictitious danger zone of a vehicle.
Image output of the calculation result in the form of overlays for signaling warnings.
“By leveraging NVIDIA Jetson modules, the NEXCOM ATC system, and our AI software ecosystem partners, we deliver application-ready solutions that enable real-time AI computing and autonomous capabilities. These innovations empower industries such as transportation, enhancing both operational efficiency and workplace safety,” said Leo Chang, Assistant Vice President of NEXCOM's Mobile Computing Solutions.
NEXCOM’s Advanced Telematics Computers (ATC), accelerated by NVIDIA Jetson Platform, deliver robust, real-time AI inference for demanding transportation, in-vehicle, and railway systems. These ATCs are built for harsh mobile environments, featuring IP67-rated protection, a wide operating temperature range (-40°C to 70°C), and flexible 9V–36VDC power input.
A prime example is the ATC 3520, engineered to bring enhanced intelligence, safety, and connectivity to modern light rail systems. Key models include the ATC 3520-IP7-AI4CR Railway edition, which offers power isolation and EN50155 certification for protection against electrical surges and noise interference.
At its core, NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano delivers up to 67 INT8 TOPS powered by Super Mode. This exceptional TOPS-per-watt efficiency empowers the ATC 3520 to perform critical real-time AI video analytics, such as identifying foreign objects, calculating time-to-collision, issuing immediate warnings, and initiating automated braking or alerts. Furthermore, its four GbE PoE+ ports enable comprehensive environmental monitoring with IP cameras and LiDAR sensors for applications like passenger counting. The ATC 3520’s capabilities are augmented by AI inference through Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), enhancing situational awareness, enabling intelligent driver assistance features (e.g., adaptive braking, obstacle avoidance), and supporting continuous edge model retraining for optimal AI accuracy.
