NEXCOM's ACEK 3354-7P is an ARM SoC-based starter kit featuring TI Sitara™ AM3354 ARM^® Cortex™-A8 processor in ultra low-power computer-on-module (ULP-COM) form factor. The ACEK 3354-7P is a complete, ready-to-use system consisting an ACES 3354 ULP-COM module and ACEB-35 carrier board, built-in 7" LCD screen with projected capacitive (P Cap) touch panel and bootable SD card with pre-installed Windows Embedded Compact 7.0 or Linux 2.6. This ARM SoC-based starter kit aims to help developers evaluate and accelerate the development of low-power arm-based systems such as portable devices, data kiosks, set-top boxes, home and industrial automation systems.

The onboard ACES 3354 features ARM^® Cortex™-A8 720MHz processor, 512MB DDR3 SDRAM and 4GB eMMC storage, while the ACEB-35 carrier board is equipped with a SD card slot and additional Gigabit Ethernet, USB-OTG, USB 2.0, VGA and COM interfaces. With ready-to-use hardware and software, ACEK 3354-7P provides developers the necessary tools to develop, test and evaluate a wide range of embedded systems such as HMI panels in industrial automation and control panels in connected homes.

In addition to the 7" touch screen, the starter kit comes with AC/DC power adapter and internal interfaces including mini-PCIe, USB and audio. Using these features, developers can immediately begin designing systems with network connectivity, touch screen, sensing and voice functions. These can include kiosk vending machines with wired and wireless connectivity, smartphones and e-menus with single touch or multi-touch points, security controls panels with motion detectors and intercom functions. Furthermore, the bootable SD card can be easily interchanged to allow quick switching between Windows and Linux operating systems.
