Explore NEXCOM’s Smart Factory Blueprint Based on Industry 4.0 at Korea Robot World 2014

NEXCOM will co-booth with HIWIN Technologies Corporation, and present its latest EtherCAT machine automation and PC-based factory automation solutions under the concept of Industry 4.0 to help build a smart factory. With market proven domain knowledge and partnerships with numerous world-class players, such as HIWIN, NEXCOM aims to provide machine automation solutions designed for robots and machinery in the electronic manufacturing process. The showcase will take place from October 22 to October 25 at Korea Robot World 2014. At the show, NEXCOM will specifically highlight the live showcase of 6R and 4R robots controlled by EtherCAT-based controllers, and a variety of solutions for EtherCAT general motion controllers, large SCADA systems and control panels. In addition, a full line of controllers designed for different applications will be presented.

Robot Control Solution

In collaboration with HIWIN, NEXCOM will showcase how its NET series can control the 6R and 4R robots with high level of movement accuracy and precision. To make the demo easily understood, NEXCOM is going to arrange two 6R robots dancing to the beat and a 4R Delta robot performing pick-and-place of candy boxes in an accurate manner for long working hours. In addition, a further collaboration with PMC (Precision Machinery Research Development Center) will be at the show to demonstrate how a single NEXCOM controller can be used to drive five different brands of servos including Yaskawa, Delta, HIWIN, SANYO DENKI and OMRON for robot movement control.

PC-based Factory Automation

NEXCOM's pc-based factory automation solution is fully IP-based and compatible with advanced control networks such as PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT and DeviceNet. It can also work with world-class Human Machine Interface (HMI)/SCADA software easily. Furthermore, it satisfies the requirements for industrial network connection, system integration, and easy expansion. Visitors will be able to see the live demonstration of NEXCOM's solutions including fieldbus concentrator solution in CIM, large SCADA systems, oil and gas movement applications as well as HMI solutions for machinery control.

PC-based Machine Automation

Based on the Industry 4.0 revolution, NEXCOM's leading machine automation solution, NexMotion™, provides advanced automation technology to process digital signals and control machines in a smart and efficient way. NexMotion™ is categorized into the three product lines: NET series, PAC series and MAC series. All product lines feature open architecture, integrated and decentralized designs to cover the different types of industrial automation applications.
