NEXCOM International Co., Ltd., a leading supplier of Network Security Appliances, is proud to announce the launch of the DNA1500 and DNA1501, a new family of products based on the MIPS64 technology from RMI. For SMB business, the DNA1500 and DNA1501 feature RMI XLS204 and XLS208 SOC processors and are designed for traditional security applications, such as Firewall, Virtual Private Network(VPN), Anti-Virus, Intrusion Detection Systems(IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems(IPS).
The DNA1500 and DNA1501 platforms support up to two MIPS64 XLS cores, 8 fine Grain Threads, 32K/32KB L1 cache and up to 1.0 GHz Operation. Both platforms utilize multi-threading technology enabling other threads to continue to process instructions efficiently even when one thread becomes stalled. The autonomous Compression/ Decompression Engine offloads the compression, it functions like an autonomous IP block, freeing up additional processing capacity within each core for greater efficiency and throughput. The Security engine supports virtual private network (VPN) solutions for both IPsec and SSL.
Featuring of RMI fan-less desktop platform, DNA1500 and DNA1501 are configured with XLS204(single core)/ XLS208(dual cores), 128MB Flash, one DDRII slot up to 1GB, 1xWAN, 5x switch ports, 1xcompact Flash, 2x mini-PCI-E and 2x USB ports. RMI Multi-Core Multi-Threaded XLS Processors have attained FIPS 140-2 certification by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 is the U.S. government’s stringent security standard for cryptographic modules. It is widely recognized as the benchmark for the highest levels of security assurance and is being rapidly adopted by both government agencies and secure private industries such as finance, banking and healthcare.
